The Department of Holistic Integrative Healing Studies conducted a Japan Integrated Medicine Field Experience Program - From November 14th (Thursday) to 17th (Sunday), a program for Integrated Health Management students will take place in Tokyo, Japan - Hosted by the Department of Holistic Integrative Healing Studies as part of the graduation celebration The Department of Holistic Integrative Healing Studies, led by the Student Council, is organizing a Japan Integrated Medicine Field Experience Program. This program will take place in Tokyo, Japan, from Thursday, November 14th to Sunday, November 17th. It was designed by the Student Council to offer students the opportunity to directly experience the natural therapies and integrated medicine approaches they studied in the course "Global Natural Therapies and Integrated Medicine". This field experience program includes activities such as the LIMA Cooking School: Macrobiotic (Longevity Diet) Cooking Class, Tokyo Yo-on (Integrated Medical Hospital): Energy, Horticultural Therapy, and Natural Diet Experience, and Okutama Forest: Forest Therapy Guided Walk. It is conducted for students of the Department of Holistic Integrative Healing Studies, and more detailed information can be found on the department's website. Professor Min-Young Lee, the head of the Department of Holistic Integrative Healing Studies, stated, “Our department conducts domestic and international field experience programs approximately twice a year,” and added, “We hope for the active interest and participation of not only our current students but also those aspiring to enroll for the 2025 academic year.”. Meanwhile, the Department of Holistic Integrative Healing Studies at our university is the only department of its kind in the country, with an excellent faculty. The major focuses on studying how to use the natural healing abilities that humans are inherently born with to maintain and enhance health, prevent diseases, and promote healing. The goal is to train integrative healing experts through practical education in natural healing theories and techniques, based on the principles of integrative medicine. Career paths after graduation include becoming a forest healing instructor, responsible for developing and promoting forest healing programs in areas such as healing forests, natural recreational forests, forest bathing sites, and forest trails. Other roles include becoming a natural plant-based diet expert, a yoga and meditation instructor, or a wellness coach. Representative qualifications include the nationally certified forest healing instructor and the licensed hygienist. |
